 FoxSmartBox, 311 pieces. New to me laser cutter, among the better of the sub-Liberty brands, influenced by what I think of as the Russian style; wood on the thinner side. Elaborate whimsy designs shown off on the back. Good value. 3/5

Troy Benoit, Moon Light/Plant Sight

 Puzzle Lab, 213 pieces. Challenging despite its size because of the limited and dark colors. Unusually, the image is textured, creating an interesting variation on the haptic pleasures of a wooden puzzle. A little char came off on my hands, as is usual with Puzzle Lab. Recommended if you're looking for something a bit different and hard. 3/5

 DaVici, 200 pieces total. Designed to be assembled into 2 3D cats if desired, but I didn't desire. Usual fun DaVici cuts and of course I enjoy the cats! 3/5

 Artifact, 296 pieces. Challenging image because there's so much repetition with difference. Random/geometric piece style, no real whimsies but does echo the image in many ways. 3/5

Paja Jovanovich, Sokolar (Falkoner)

Izh-puzzle/Alexey Morozov, 386 pieces.  This is a true work of art with incredibly intricate themed whimsies, colored on the back. The only downside is that the whimsies have some elements that are very fragile as a result, despite most of the pieces being relatively large. Still, what a triumph! 8/10 Stave scale.

Liberty, 585 pieces. Challenging because despite so much going on, it was often hard to tell where any given light-colored piece was going to be in the overall image. Some whimsies I hadn't seen before, too! 4/5
