The Polar Express

Mosaic, 250 pieces. Lots of themed whimsies here! Forgot to take pictures of the pieces but too lots of the back. 3/5

The Christmas Library

Mosaic, 250 pieces. There was enough color crossover among different sections that it wasn't particularly easy; a perfectly good puzzle. 3/5

Edmond Cross, The Rose Cloud

Mosaic, 500 pieces. Nicely colored; I find their whimsies/cuts a little thin/leaf-like for my taste a lot of the time, but it worked well here. 3/5

a couple of two-piece whimsies, mostly people

An Afternoon in Venice

Mosaic, 250 pieces. A nice size for Mosaic, with tons of whimsies that make assembly pretty steady. 3/5

18th century French Tapestry

Mosaic, 250 pieces. Mosaic's elaborate piece style isn't always my favorite, but it works well for this set of patterns--this is the love/coupling cut that could use a few same-sex couples. 3/5

Sunday on La Grande Jatte

Mosaic, 500 pieces. Always nice to see a classic. Love-themed whimsies. 3/5

cats in love

Vintage Seeds

Mosaic, 500 pieces. A bit disappointing as the print quality was fuzzier than I would have hoped, but the whimsy proliferation continues, and if you like things like a whimsy chair and other unusual shapes the cut is nice. 3/5

kitty!

I liked the rocking chair

Vincent van Gogh, Café Terrace at Night

Mosaic, 500 pieces. I liked this one better than the first Mosaic puzzle I did; I enjoyed the multiple couples eating together as well as the coffee swirl whimsies (Instagram-ready!). Anyone who wants really high numbers of whimsies is likely to enjoy this. 3/5

the center with lots of foam designs

The Koi Pond

Mosaic, 500 pieces. New-to-me cutter, reasonably priced for laser-cut. The selling point is lots of whimsies, and there very certainly are. A decent not-quite-Liberty alternative, and only a bit more than half the price. The cuts are a bit tighter than Liberty, somewhere in between Liberty and Whimsy Wood. My biggest complaint: the pieces only fit into the box when they arrived; I could not possibly get them back in without crunching some whimsies. Larger box, please! 3/5

some whimsies with lines/inclusions, like the squid and whale above
