About my ratings

Perhaps because of my day job, I'm a tough rater. Everything 3/5 and above I consider worth the time and money. If I purchase on Etsy or a similar platform and the puzzle is as expected, I will give a top rating on the platform because of how seller ratings work, but here "as expected" is probably a 3/5 in most cases.

Monet's Studio at Giverny, Damian Elwes

Liberty, 493 pieces: First of these studio series that I've done, and I'm a big fan. Lovely themed pieces, with some clever cutting to make the flower whimsies' color match. 4/5

Bluebonnet Bugler

Stave, 385 pieces. Beautiful image, extremely pleasant assembly that went steadily with areas of concentrated color. 7/10

tiny dropouts made this area very tricky!

big feather

rebus (flipped so it reads correctly)

Feline Tesselation

Stumpcraft, 603 pieces. This was a difficult assembly because of the size and distribution of colors--things got somewhat easier as larger sections became intelligible. I like tesselation a lot; the actual pieces weren't tesselated, though there was some color line cutting on the huge multipiece cat figure, as well as individual piece designs that, e.g., isolated eyes from their surrounding colors. 3/5

can you see the kitty? Hint: snake tail.
