About my ratings

Perhaps because of my day job, I'm a tough rater. Everything 3/5 and above I consider worth the time and money. If I purchase on Etsy or a similar platform and the puzzle is as expected, I will give a top rating on the platform because of how seller ratings work, but here "as expected" is probably a 3/5 in most cases.

Nadieh Bremer, Nebulium

Artifact, 147 pieces. Difficult because of repeated cuts and the repeating image. 3/5

Flaming June

Stave, 255 pieces. Beautiful image and a beautiful cut. 7/10

Vintage Locomotive

Whimsy, 250 pieces. A steampunk cut with gears and dials--I found the cut much more interesting than the image and basically assembled it from cut alone. 3/5

Barred Owl, Adolfo Valle

Lighthouse Puzzles, 64 pieces. New cutter for me; seemed pretty standard in terms of cut and on the thinner, old-Wentworth side in thickness. Note the irregular edges on two sides. 3/5

Al Fresco

Stave, 100 pieces. Listed as a three-sword teaser; I'd put it on the easier end of those because of the clear guides offered by the different elements. 6/10

Monet Irises

MGC puzzles, 100 pieces. The cutting style and muted colors make this harder to put together than the low piece count suggests--very nice. 4/5

Flower Power

Lucretia's Pieces, 514 pieces. Really impressive dropouts and sculpted edges here, with fairly steady assembly despite the complexities of the image. 8/10
