About my ratings

Perhaps because of my day job, I'm a tough rater. Everything 3/5 and above I consider worth the time and money. If I purchase on Etsy or a similar platform and the puzzle is as expected, I will give a top rating on the platform because of how seller ratings work, but here "as expected" is probably a 3/5 in most cases.

Liberty, Artist's Garden at Giverny

531 pieces. There's a reason Monet paintings are popular puzzle subjects; very nice colors made this a pleasure to assemble. 4.5/5

Elm Puzzles, Klimt, The Kiss

980 pieces: That's a lot of pieces! Klimt pictures make good puzzles because of the combination of variety and difficult color similarities. This one was good for a number of hours of puzzling. 6/10 (Stave scale)

Conrad Armstrong, Waterfall

422 pieces.  Beautiful hand-cut work with spiral cuts that make for a difficult assembly.  The cutouts in the center of the waterfall were a particularly elegant, and tricky, touch.  9/10 (Stave scale).

Chris Yates flower mandala

174 pieces. From the Baffler. I don't usually go for cardboardy puzzles, but Yates' intriguing constructions caught my eye and they are very difficult for their size. This set had a few more torn bottom bits from incomplete cuts than the previous ones I got, but assembling it was still a pleasant challenge. 3/5

Stave, The Big Cheese

120 pieces, three-sword Teaser. Harder than you would have thought to fit all the little pieces into the holes, even though it seems like it's just a matter of fitting two pieces together in each one. 7/10
