Fathom, 200 pieces. I snap up new Fathoms when released because I really enjoy the Tormentor style transposed onto a laser-cut puzzle. There are occasional bits that aren't as fun as hand-cut--in particular, uniform connector knobs can cause some trouble--but overall it's a really good way of getting the experience of the subtle effects of small drop-outs. 4/5

Snowflake, 350 pieces. I like thin hand-cut puzzles better than thin laser-cut ones; this one is a good example. 3/5

Fairy City
FoxSmartBox, 425 pieces. It's been a while since I've done a puzzle with a lot of engraved whimsies, and the break let me appreciate the fun things about them! This one has an elaborate edge and a nice multipiece Ferris wheel. 3/5
Taj Mahal, Parker Fulton
Elms, 416 pieces. A very good size for an Elms puzzle, with lots of nice little details in the image. 6/10
