About my ratings

Perhaps because of my day job, I'm a tough rater. Everything 3/5 and above I consider worth the time and money. If I purchase on Etsy or a similar platform and the puzzle is as expected, I will give a top rating on the platform because of how seller ratings work, but here "as expected" is probably a 3/5 in most cases.

Norman Rockwell, Sweet Song So Young

Carol Ottenberg, 275 pieces. As the notes in the box says, a lot of white in this one, meaning lots of reliance on piece shape to assemble, which I enjoy when the pieces are distinguishable. Some interesting connector variation, from big teardrops to hooks to some squarish and tiny round ones. 4/5

Van Gogh, Sea at Saintes-Maries

Artifact, 211 pieces. Small but pleasant puzzle with some paint-splash whimsies and "regular" piece shapes that seem to have taken that as an inspiration. 3/5

Venice

Louise Barnard, 291 pieces. A new cutter for me, with a mix of round knobs and zig-zaggy albeit interlocking bits and some color line cutting, especially on the figures in the foreground.  A lot of fun. 4/5

Caerphilly Castle

Chad Valley/GWR, 150 pieces. Huge pieces! I would love to share this with a train-loving child. 3/5

Jonik, Wizard's Workshop

Artifact, 358 pieces. Charming and complex image. 3/5

Vikings Landing at St. Ives

Chad Valley/GWR, 375 pieces. Several replaced pieces that are noticeable until inserted and then largely disappear. I like the classic rounded Chad Valley style. 3/5

Ondulations

Puzzle Club, 105 pieces. Acrylic; nicely cut with clear indications of what fit where. Three different connector types for gold-to-gold, gold-to-black, and black-to-black, which guided assembly. A nice entry into acrylics! 3/5
