About my ratings

Perhaps because of my day job, I'm a tough rater. Everything 3/5 and above I consider worth the time and money. If I purchase on Etsy or a similar platform and the puzzle is as expected, I will give a top rating on the platform because of how seller ratings work, but here "as expected" is probably a 3/5 in most cases.

Pull My Strings, Teaser

120 pieces, Stave.  An old favorite, still very difficult--that missing Stave clown silhouette nearly had me convinced I'd lost the correct clown.  9/10

Marchands des Fleurs, Henry Victor Lesur

BCB Puzzles, approximately 300 pieces.  Another very well-cut puzzle with just a hint of color line cutting around the people for some extra difficulty. 3/5

Spirit of '76, A.M. Willard

Liberty, 541 pieces. An older Liberty, with some nice American-themed whimsies (Lincoln was probably my favorite). 3/5

Victorian Pleasure Gardens, John Strickland Goodall

Optimago, 315 pieces.  Lovely colors and a nice example of Optimago.  3/5

Ought Six, Duke Beardsley

Liberty, 519 pieces.  This one was a lot of fun--only two major colors, but variation in the background and foreground, with some elaborate multipiece whimsies. Liberty at its best.  5/5

The other multi-piece whimsies are a saddle and a big bird, visible in the top corners of the full picture

A Christmas Party, Pauline Baynes

315 pieces. A nice characteristic Optimago, with a lot going on in the borders and some tough darker areas.  3/5
