About my ratings

Perhaps because of my day job, I'm a tough rater. Everything 3/5 and above I consider worth the time and money. If I purchase on Etsy or a similar platform and the puzzle is as expected, I will give a top rating on the platform because of how seller ratings work, but here "as expected" is probably a 3/5 in most cases.

Waterfalls, BrainyGames

266 pieces. Standard strip-cut, laser-cut puzzle.  Very nice image with some difficulty at the sides where the image was very similar; the cuts could have used some more variation in shape in my opinion.  Shipped assembled/in two pieces, folded over.  2/5

Boater's Lunch, Renoir

588 pieces, Puzzlewood. This is my favorite part about hand-cutting: how placing two pieces together can reveal the shape of the subsequent adjoining piece, which was completely mysterious beforehand.  Though this isn't my favorite subject matter, the cutting on this one is just so much fun.  10/10

Flower still life, Severin Roesen

Artifact, 330 pieces.  Larger-pieced Artifact, with a lot of visual interest in the edges, which aren't straight.  3/5

Elephants Never Forget, Molly Mac

340 pieces, Puzzlewood.  Delightful puzzle that looks easier than it is because of the patterns, which turn out to be only a partial guide because of the color-line cutting.  7/10

Osprey, Sue Coccia

377 pieces, Liberty.  A nice Coccia puzzle with some shapes that made it harder than the relatively low piece count would suggest.  3/5

upside-down multi-piece whimsies

Double-sided puzzle

Puzzlewood, approx. 50 pieces. Harder than it had any right to be, even on the side that looked easier!  5/5

Pansies, Puzzlewood

186 pieces.  Very nice hand-cut puzzle with tricky gradations of color.  5/5
