Chatauqua Trail, Janice Larson

Liberty, 403 pieces. Notable for the extra-large human figural pieces; otherwise colorful and pleasant. 3/5

The Met- Dish with Flowers and Berries

Loren Damewood, 180 pieces. I've seen pictures of these smoothly cut puzzles, but this is my first assembly! The pieces are satisfyingly rounded, but very small. A nice change of pace. 3/5

I Love You

BellArt, under 50 pieces. Cute little treat.

The Maze

The Continuing Puzzles of Bungalow Bill, 349 pieces. Not for the faint of heart! Lots of shape matching required because the visual cues were minimal/disrupted by the stripes. This was a puzzle that did get easier at the end, though, because as chunks came together their relation to each other became clearer and clearer. 4/5

Journey to Japan

Stave, 310 pieces. Some of the areas in the puzzle are less distinct in pieces than they look once assembled! 6/10

Race Around the World

Stave, 270 pieces. Relatively easy but still charming as always. 6/10

The Golden State

Stave, 60 pieces. Sort of seems unfair to California to give it a puzzle the same size as the others, but still nice! 6/10

Born to Fly

Stave, 185 pieces. This Tormentor is amazing because it plays completely fair: there is a consistent pattern on the image, and yet that's not very much help at all, in part because of the carved-out slivers that change a corner to a not-quite-match with its neighbor. 10/10 instant classic

now that I look at the photo, I suspect that flame was supposed to hook into the top of the feather!

Shades of Blue

Stave, 410 pieces. This was a challenge because of the aforementioned shades; I really like the process of seeing the colors become more and more distinguishable as I work through the puzzle. Also some unusual whimsies--that rose was not something I'd seen from Stave before. 7/10
