Mr. Gogo, 342 pieces. Beautiful color and cut as usual. This one was hard because of the limited color palette; some of the pieces also created places for connectors by juxtaposition, so you couldn't always tell by shape. 5/5 (I could also start putting these on the Stave scale. I feel badly sometimes that my perfectionism tells me to reserve the highest marks for the A+ out there when there are so many good puzzles and cutters.)

Wolf Song, Phil Lewis
503 pieces, Liberty. I like the geometrically presented moon--it created some interesting shape/color interactions. 3/5

Treerific, Lukas Robillard
A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, Georges Seurat
Liberty, 549 pieces. Classic image, straightforward Liberty puzzle with some nice whimsies hiding in the shadows. 3/5

Summer Medley, Mandy Budan
Stumpcraft, 207 pieces. I'm enjoying the Stumpcraft puzzles a lot. This one punches above its piece count because the image is complicated enough that the pieces can have a lot of color line cutting without losing their interlocking features (which is my main problem with color line cutting). So there are a number of tricky bits that are only obvious after you put them together. 4/5--if you haven't tried one of them, go ahead!

Irises, Vincent Van Goghh
Liberty, 556 pieces. Again, I'm of the mind that Impressionists may make the best puzzle images because of the way colors echo across the work, so that you learn how one color looks different when placed against others. 4/5

Prize Winners
Piece Time Puzzles, cut by Rose D. Stevens, 166 pieces. A lovely little hand-cut puzzle from a cutter without much in inventory, sadly. Nice variation in the connectors. 4/5
Shamsa (Sunburst)
Liberty, 484 pieces. This is a relatively unusual liberty with a very extensive pattern in the pieces throughout, featuring pomegranates and vines. Very fun to do; I did it in stages the second time around. 4.5/5
More traditional whimsies--fewer because of all the curving connectors |

Copacabana Beach
Wastetime (Imbrie Manufacturing), 245 pieces. I can't find out anything about this cutter online, but it's a nicely hand-cut puzzle in good condition for its apparent age. Somewhat similar to Penelope but the pieces are squarer where Penelopoe is rounder. 4/5
